seriously oda has only ever mentioned egypt as inspiration for alabasta, if he wanted to create a place resembling India he would have and he even mentioned that once, rurubu is NOT a reliable source as it literally has errors in it, people also using that one color spread of Nami and Vivi as proof when it has nothing to do with Alabasta and is just what it is, a color spread

I don’t understand how hard it is to understand this. They’re not written by Oda, it’s just his name on it! People are using these data books over the manga which absolutely boggles my mind.

And the outfit…it takes one google search of “Egyptian belly dancing outfit” and it resembles the clothes Nami and Vivi are wearing. And even if they are wearing Indian clothing, like you said, it’s just a color spread. Oda has the straw hats playing sports or chess, does that mean it’s also linked to the current island that they’re in? No it’s just him drawing for fun.

Arabasta isn’t and never was an Egypt/India island. Oda 100% had Ancient and modern Egypt in mind when he was designing/writing out this arc. It’s all just being retconned right now, for God knows what reason.

So, osculum obscenum refers to kissing directly on the butthole (see video evidence of Copia doing this onstage to a goat plushie LOL) but if that’s what you’re asking, the phrase would be “baciami il buco,” or “bacia il mio buco” (but the first is more likely used). I suppose you could also say “baciami il culo,” but that’s more of an insult like “kiss my ass.”

“Baciami” (kiss me) is already gender-neutral, since it is a command-verb.

Another random Hitman question. Since it was on sale, I bought a pack of Flutschfinger. Which ice cream does the Hitman fam prefer? Gelato, sandwiches, sorbet, cola ice?

First of all: Flutschfinger are such a strong childhood memory for me - I hope they were delicious!

And what a difficult question, because at first I can imagine everything with everyone. But on second thought, they might have different favourites …

With lots of fruit on top or some chocolate. There is an ice cream parlour in Italy that serves just the right amount of cream and ice cream. I think he enjoys sitting outside in a café in the quiet hours of his life and having his espresso with a sundae.

Diana. In fact, I can imagine that she's not that much of an ice-cream fan. When it's very warm, she'll probably have a Magnum or go to a special ice cream parlour where they still make the ice cream themselves. But somehow she strikes me as more of an iced coffee type (European style with ice cream and not just ice cubes), should it come to a visit to an ice cream parlour.

Olivia. I can imagine that she likes all these cool ice cream types like Flutschfinger. Or ice pops in general. An ice cream sandwich for sure as well. She probably just loves ice cream in general and would get the craziest flavours. There's an ice cream parlour near me here where you can order currywurst or pizza ice cream. Or beer ice cream. Or schnitzel ice cream with cheese spaetzle ice cream. Olivia would eat it, for sure.

Lucas. In my headcanon, he has a weakness for sweet things. This includes ice cream, of course. But as he seems to be a bit of a cheapskate (he only spends money on useful things and not on luxuries), I can imagine him going to the nearest discount store and buying an XXL pack of some off-brand ice cream. This pack will last him a week at best. He only goes to the café or ice cream parlour when everyone else is dragging him along. And then he might order Spaghettieis.

But now I'm curious to know what you think!!

What are some of your favorite Charles and Hawkeye moments?

You treat me, letting me talk about my otp like this.

Originally I would say, any time their on screen together. But that’s too broad and also not a fun answer.

I would have to say my favorite scenes of them are the scene of them caring for each other. More specifically the scenes after they get punched.

Not only are they physically caring for each other in these scenes but they’re caring emotionally. Each of them in their respective scenes has something personal and important to them damaged. In Hawkeye’s it’s his relationship with BJ. I could get into the parts about Bj in this scene but I’m going to focus on Charles. Charles (I’m his own kind of pompous way) helps out hawk in this scene and they way he did it I feel is a little intentional. Like BJ kinda shook hawkeye, so Charles acting, well you know like Charles, kind of helps to ground hawkeye again. It’s probably not what Hawkeye wanted to hear, but it’s what he needed. Grounding and normalcy. 

Same kinda goes for this scene. After Charles gets punched and his pride is damaged and we all know Charles pride means a lot to him lmao. Hawkeye knows not to pity Charles cause it would only hurt him more. But in the scene his tone is soft, more sensitive to what just happened. Charles doesn’t want to be coddled and hawk knows that but at the same time hawk cracks jokes to lighten the mood and also offers a solution.

These two scenes really kinda of show why I think they work together so well. They care for one another, they’re sensitive to each others emotions, and they know what that other needs to feel better. They would never admit it but they know each other very well. Not that I don’t think that would ever be cuddly mind you, but in those specific situations I just think that they did very well to comfort the other person in the way they needed.

Plus you know, caring physically for one another screams romance to me and I want to see more of it.

Unique things are hard, but I’ll give five random things, how’s that?

1. I got my first tattoo at 19, then a few more over the next couple of decades, but in the past 3 years I’ve gotten 9. I love them. I guess as I get older, the less I care that they’ll be on my body forever, because that’s a lot less time now. Not to be morbid. 😂

2. I’ve had a personal blog (like one out on the internet) for 23 years. I post 1-2 times a month now. Notable because I still post on it.

3. I have children that are extraordinarily rare.

4. I love to sew. My favorite thing I’ve made is a wool coat. I love it. Oh, and a Schitt’s Creek quilt. 😀

5. I collect Starbucks mugs. (Can you tell I’m really grasping at straws now? I’m jet lagged, cut me some slack.)
